Bone Scan Results
FINAL REPORT
INDICATION: Breast cancer.
DECISION: SPECT views were obtained due to presence of abnormal tracer activity
posterior to the upper thoracic spine.
INTERPRETATION: Whole body and SPECT imaging of the skeleton shows a single
focus of abnormally increased tracer activity within the posterior elements of
the upper thoracic spine. No other areas of abnormal tracer uptake are seen.
The kidneys and urinary bladder are visualized, the normal route of tracer
excretion.
IMPRESSION: Abnormally increased tracer activity within a single location in
the posterior elements of the upper thoracic spine. This abnormal tracer uptake
occurs in a location typical for degenerative change.

Okay, help me here - does this simply imply that there is some degeneration visible on the bone scan, or something else? I think it's "just" degeneration but I want to be sure here...!
